Volume 3. Zambia
Zambia was always going to make the top three volumes of Nyayo magazine. Home to the highest population of leopards in Africa, the famous walking safari, and the mighty Victoria Falls, Zambia will not disappoint. It stole part of our heart, and it will continue to do so each time we return.
The year 2020 was one that will go down in history as it touched the lives of everyone in the world. Although many people want to forget the year, it will instead, always be remembered. I promised myself when writing Nyayo volume 3, that I wouldn’t talk about Covid-19. Nyayo magazine is all about following the footprints of safari guides in Africa and, however much I don’t want to talk about it, we cannot pretend that 2020 did not exist when, in fact, it made some of the deepest footprints to date.
Safari guides featured in this issue - Benson Kanyembo, Brian Mukumbuta, and Patrick Njobvu to name a few – show that, no matter how challenging this past year has been, Zambia continues to show us that there is so much to be grateful for. Be it tracking lion footprints, observing carmine bee-eaters make their colony on the riverbank, or simply watching the sun rise each morning, no global pandemic can possibly take away from the sheer beauty and magnificence that is Zambia.
Like all other volumes of Nyayo magazine, our aim is to showcase the best guides and the best of the country. Zambia has a special place in our hearts, and I hope after reading this volume, it does the same for you.
114-page perfect bounded magazine, with a soft lamination and embossed front cover.
